Still deciding? The free trial is the quickest way to find out. It takes about a minute to set up.
When does Facebook show “See more”?
Facebook folds a post after about 5 lines in the feed, so how many characters show first depends on your line breaks and the screen. The preview above folds at the same point and shows the exact text readers see first.
How long can a Facebook post be?
63,206 characters. Text past the limit is marked in the preview.
Is the preview exactly what the network will show?
It is a close match for layout, limits and the fold, but Facebook changes its feed now and then and fonts differ between devices.
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. The preview runs in your browser and nothing you type leaves it.
Preview on other networks
